The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a solar system scheme for the poor and deserving people suffering from expensive electricity and load shedding in the province.
Two tiers have been created under this scheme,
- Provision of solar systems with zero markup for those consuming up to 100 units of electricity in the first tier
- Provision of solar systems with 50% partnership and mutually agreed markup for electricity consumers up to 200 units
– Eligibility Criteria:
- Eligible households registered in Ehsaas Program/Benazir Income Support Program
- Economically disadvantaged/low-income households
- Preference given to widows / divorced / orphans / married couples / minorities / special individuals / temporarily displaced families
If more applications are received than the allotted number, selection will be made by drawing lots.
