Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

To qualify for the Quality Inspector vacancy, applicants must meet specific educational, technical, and language requirements:

• Educational Background: Candidates must possess a relevant Diploma or certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or OSHA.
• Work Experience: Previous mandatory experience in quality assurance/quality control, preferably focused on Fresh Produce, Deli, and Grocery Food supply chains.
• Language Skills: A strong command of the English language (both written and spoken) is required. The ability to speak or understand Arabic is considered a significant advantage.
• Technical Competencies:
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) regulations set by corporate QA teams.
  • Proficiency in local (SASO/SFDA) and international quality and food safety compliance standards.
  • Technical literacy in using digital tools, including industrial thermometers, digital cameras, e-mail, and reporting software.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the technical backing to reject non-conforming or sub-standard deliveries when necessary.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Selected Quality Inspectors will be tasked with protecting the food chain and ensuring that all inbound shipments conform strictly to established product specifications. Main responsibilities include:

1. Inbound Shipment Inspection: Scheduling and preparing DC (Distribution Center) receiving plans to inspect all incoming fresh produce and grocery items before offloading.
2. Temperature & Quality Testing: Checking the temperature of vendor vehicles and goods prior to receiving and store dispatch. Testing fruits for Brix (sugar content) and firmness against target specs.
3. Sampling & Reporting: Applying standard sampling procedures in conjunction with Team Leaders (TL). Capturing all non-conformities with photographic evidence and generating daily inspection logs.
4. Storage & Safety Management: Ensuring products are stored under correct temperature and category conditions. Monitoring Distribution Center pest control systems to keep facilities infection-free.
