03. Legal Expert (PPS-10)
The Legal Expert will protect the statutory and commercial interests of Pakistan Railways, ensuring all new commercial contracts and PPP frameworks are airtight and comply with federal laws.

- Corporate Law Governance: Drawing from specialized corporate law knowledge to serve as the lead Corporate Law Legal Expert for the unit.
- PPP Legal Design: Providing robust legal inputs, risk allocations, and compliance checks during the developmental and policy-drafting phases of new PPP initiatives.
- Contractual Examination: Examining and vetting the legal aspects, liability clauses, concession agreements, and legal vulnerabilities of complex project proposals.
- Dispute Resolution & Mitigation: Identifying potential or active legal gridlocks/ disputes relating to the PPP initiatives of Pakistan Railways and designing legally sound solutions to mitigate litigation risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all project steps adhere to the Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules and relevant federal/provincial statutory frameworks.

Critical Contract & Salary Details
- Contract Terms: The appointments are initially for a period of one (1) year. Extensions are possible on a yearly basis, depending on satisfactory performance or until the completion of the project.
- Salary: Salaries will be admissible as per the Standard Pay Package issued by the Finance Division on 18th April 2022 (as amended from time to time).
- Experience Requirement: Note that only post-qualification experience will be considered for eligibility.
- Foreign Degrees: If you hold a degree from a foreign institution, you must provide an equivalency certificate issued by HEC/PEC.
