  • HSM (Highly Skilled Master) – BPS-10:
    • Education: Ideally DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) or B-Tech.

    • Skillset: Entry-level technical role. Candidates should have a basic understanding of their workshop trade (e.g., Welders should know ARC/Gas welding basics).

Age Relaxation Policy

While the general age limit is 18–30 years, the following relaxations usually apply per Government of Pakistan rules:

  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 15 years relaxation or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces (whichever is less), with a maximum age cap of 45.
  • Government Servants: 10 years relaxation for those with 2 years of continuous service (up to 55 years of age).
  • Scheduled Castes / Buddhist Community / Sindh (Rural) / Balochistan: 3 years of general relaxation.
  • Widows/Sons/Daughters of Deceased Civil Servants: 5 years relaxation (for those who died during service).

Selection & Recruitment Process

Candidates should prepare for a multi-stage evaluation:

  1. Initial Screening: Applications are vetted based on educational merit and the completeness of documents (Postal Order, Attested copies).
  2. Written Test: Candidates for BPS-05 to BPS-10 are typically tested on:
    • General Knowledge & Intelligence.
    • Subject-specific technical questions (e.g., basic electronics for Radio Technicians).
  3. Practical/Trade Test: For technical roles (Welder, Carpenter, Mechanic), a hands-on test is conducted at the Multan Aviation Base workshop to verify actual skills.
  4. Interview: A board interview to assess personality and professional fitness.
  5. Medical & Security Clearance: Final selection is subject to a medical fitness certificate and police verification of character.

Application Checklist (Pro-Tips)

  • Handwritten Application: Ensure it is neat. Clearly mention the Post Name and your Contact Number at the top.
  • The Postal Order: This is a crucial step. Go to any GPO (General Post Office) and ask for a Postal Order in favor of “Commanding Officer 599 EME Bn, Multan.” Keep the receipt.
  • Dual Applications: If you qualify for multiple posts (e.g., Storeman and HS-II), you must submit separate applications and separate postal orders for each.
  • Envelope Marking: Write the name of the post applied for on the top right corner of the envelope in bold letters.
