  • Academic Criteria Note: For candidates coming from universities utilizing the semester system, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 is mandatory to be counted as a First Division.

2. Network Engineer / Web Administrator / Assistant Director IT (BPS-17)

This multifaceted Information Technology role is designed for professionals capable of managing high-level network infrastructures, maintaining the university’s official web presence, and supporting overall campus IT operations.

  • Scale: Basic Pay Scale 17 (BPS-17)
  • Number of Positions: 01 (Regular Basis)
  • Gender Eligibility: Open to both Male and Female Pakistani nationals.
  • Educational Requirement:
    • Must hold a First Class Master’s Degree or an equivalent qualification representing 16 years of education in the specialized fields of Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) from an HEC-recognized university or institution.
  • Key Selection Preference:
    • While the academic qualification is standard across IT, the official advertisement explicitly dictates that preference shall be given to candidates who possess practical, verified experience as a Web Administrator. Having strong web development, CMS management, and server handling skills will give applicants a competitive edge for this specific vacancy.

3. Accountant (BPS-16)

  • Strict Regional Quota (Domicile):
    • Only candidates possessing a valid domicile of the Hazara Division are eligible to apply for this post. Applicants from outside the Hazara Division will not be considered for the Accountant vacancy.

Important Terms and Conditions

  • Age Limit: The required age limit for initial appointment from BPS-6 to BPS-18 is 18 to 35 years, as per the Abbottabad UST Statutes. General age relaxation will be admissible as per existing government rules.

The application process is entirely digital and managed via the ETEA portal. Follow these steps carefully to ensure your application is submitted successfully:

  1. Profile Creation: Visit the official ETEA portal at www.etea.edu.pk starting from August 1, 2026, and create your candidate profile.
  2. NADRA E-Sahulat Verification: After creating your profile and before depositing the fee, print the auto-generated E-Sahulat token from the ETEA website. Take this token and your original CNIC to any NADRA E-Sahulat franchise (kiosk) to complete your biometric/CNIC verification. Without this verification, you will not be able to apply.
  3. Fee Submission: Once verified, generate the online deposit slip containing your unique token number and project code. Deposit the prescribed, non-refundable test fee via the Easypaisa App, an authorized Easypaisa Agent, or at any branch of UBL Bank.
  4. Keep Your Receipt: After paying the fee, keep the original deposit slip (candidate copy) featuring the bank/agent stamp safely in your possession. Do not share this slip or its details with anyone.
  5. No Document Mailing Required: You do not need to send hard copies of your documents, degrees, or testimonials to the ETEA office. Documents will only be requested from candidates who successfully clear the initial screening test.

Test & Interview Updates

Candidates will be informed via SMS by ETEA to download and print their Roll Number Slips from the official website. The exact test date, time, and venue will be explicitly mentioned on the Roll Number Slip. No separate physical call letters will be dispatched via courier or post.
